In this workshop, you will explore will explore using handmade paper with armatures to diffuse light with instructor Lauren Pearlman Sugita.
Bring an old lampshade to recover with paper, or any 3D shape, or make your own armature with found objects, wood, twine, reed and wire.
Three basic shapes will be reviewed: hinged “window”, spherical, and upcycling of traditional wire shades or wire forms. Abstracted- free form will be encouraged!
Also please consider joining us on March 2nd, Saturday afternoon, for Make Paper by Hand! Embedding Techniques so you can potentially make your own paper in advance of this Paper & Light workshop.
