As we hit our 30-year anniversary, we are, as always, reflecting on how we got here.

We have to acknowledge the fact that we couldn’t have made it this far without all the irreplaceable connections and relationships that we’ve fostered over the years. This isn’t just a business that imports paper from one place to another—we are storytellers and bridges between cultures. Artistry exists everywhere, and the techniques and visual traditions that have brought so much joy in one corner of the world can do the same in its opposite corner. It’s been amazing to witness, like alchemy before our eyes.
To everyone who has bought paper from us, recommended us to a friend, or taken part in one of our workshops, we thank you. Owning a small business is no small feat, and being around for this long means we’ve seen firsthand how the world has shifted, ebbed, and flowed from 1995 all the way to 2025. We’re thrilled to be here, grateful for the support, and excited for what’s ahead. Papermaking isn’t going anywhere, and we look forward to continuing the tradition in the small but mighty state of Rhode Island.
